The name "Goodwin Detectives" was chosen by the CEO of this agency because it refers to Detective Isabella Goodwin, one of the first female detectives of American nationality.
Our logo, designed by our CEO, consists of a blue circle with 8 white stars around it interrupted by our icons, which represent the 8 most important business values we have.
White is a classic and balanced colour that represents our dedication to quality and constant work. It also conveys prestige and exclusivity, like our company brand.
The icon on the right: a report and a magnifying glass, which for our private investigation company represents the company's ability to collect and analyze information accurately and thoroughly.
The accelerometer, in the top center, represents for us precision, speed and efficiency in our private investigations.
With the icon of the hand with the scales on the left, we want to convey justice, fairness, balance, objectivity and impartiality. We are able to see all sides of an issue and come to a fair conclusion.
The footprint icon at the bottom center is an effective way to communicate our commitment to accuracy, reliability, professionalism and technology. It represents our promise to provide accurate and useful results for our customers.

Isabella Loghry was born in Greenwich Village, Manhattan in 1865. At the age of 19, she married John W. Goodwin, a police officer. The couple had six children, of whom four survived. Goodwin was widowed in 1896, when she was 30 years old. She was a detective assistant to the then Police Commissioner Theodore Roosevelt, who later became President of the United States. It was a low-paying position, earning only $1000 a year and only having one day off each month. She held this position for 15 years. During this time, she began working undercover to investigate crimes and her mother watched over her children.
In 1912, there was a case involving a midday robbery in which “taxi bandits” beat up two employees and stole $25,000 in midtown Manhattan. Even with 60 detectives assigned to the case, no one was able to solve the robbery. The story was followed nationally, according to a New York Times article at the time. After going undercover, Goodwin solved the case. As a result, she was named New York’s first female detective and given the rank of first-grade lieutenant. Her salary increased from $1000 to $2250/year. During her career, she specialized in exposing fortune tellers and swindlers.
